Pere Marquette 1225
The Pere Marquette 1225 is a 1941, 440 ton steam engine and is one of only six of this size that remains operational today. This steam engine was the model used to make the Christmas movie “The Polar Express”—PM 1225 is the REAL Polar Express! (This is a direct quote from the Melon Festival brochure)
