We spent the day downtown today and I snapped a few shots while in the Greektown area.

It’s interesting to see the contrasting buildings – historical (St. Mary’s Church built in 1884) directly across the street from modern high rises.

Some of the old buildings are so beautiful.  I could spend days and days walking the streets and never run out of old buildings to photograph.

We spent some time at Greektown Casino.  This is just inside the entrance.

This is a picture of the Detroit People Mover.  It is public transportation that stops at 13 different stations throughout the city.

Another shot of the People Mover (different train).

The last several pictures are of various street views in and around Greektown.

We had a really nice day.  Perfect weather, good food, and we made a contribution to the casino.
